Learning the basics of painting watercolor goes fast. Technology can be infinitely evolving… When you start get a grip of the  the technique, the big challenge remains - to get the pictures in the painting. Between each picture there are quite a few attempts that just became color on the paper…

I live and paint in Sigtuna, but just as often I paint and draw my inspiration from the mountains of southern Spain. I have taken several courses in watercolor but mostly develop my painting by testing myself with paper, paint and water - often together with other painting friends.

A recurring motif is the main footing - though without "footing". Capturing a person's mood and expressions with a few dashes is a wonderful challenge - and the expressions never end ...

Joakim Nordin

Born in Härnösand and now resides in Stockholm. Joakim has his studio in the studio collective Platform Stockholm in Liljeholmen. His painting is abstract and vivid, often in the form of dreamlike landscape paintings in acrylic and oil paint. Joakim also works as a librarian in Sundbyberg and has studied at Ålsta Folkhögskola's art education and several media courses around Sweden.He has worked for a long time as a freelance layout designer, image retoucher and artist. Is a member of KRO and BUS. He has participated in a number of exhibitions, both separate and jury-judged exhibitions as well as various group exhibitions, mainly in the Stockholm region.
